Wendel reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 0.02 Kt (-0.007 /-25% y-o-y). At the same time, carbon intensity grew to 0 t (0 y-o-y).

Wendel's Scope 3 emissions soared to 6.2 Kt (+3.2/+109% y-o-y). The growth accelerated compared to the long-term upward trend (CAGR of +37% since 4Q'19).

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Wendel also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Headline target: Wendel’s portfolio targets cover 76% of its total investment and lending by asset value as of 2022.
