Swisscom AG reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 60 Kt (-8.2 /-12% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity tumbled to 4.9 t (-0.8 /-14% y-o-y).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2025, which translates into the estimated reduction of -15 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2025. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
Also, the company commits to reducing Scope 3 by 45.7% by 2030 from a base year 2020, which translates into the estimated reduction of -13 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030. Swisscom AG also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Major telecommunications provider Swisscom commits to reduce its scope 1 GHG emissions by 10%, its scope 2 GHG emissions by 100%, and its scope 3 GHG emissions by 18%, all by 2020 from 2013 levels.
