Rockwool reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 1,650 Kt (-80 /-4.6% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity was down at 400 t (-72 /-15.2% y-o-y).

Rockwool's Scope 3 emissions decreased to 1,020 Kt (-20 /-1.9% y-o-y). There has been no consistent trend in recent years.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 38% by 2034 from a base year 2019, which translates into the estimated reduction of -32 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2034. This science-based target is aligned with Paris Agreement to limit global warming to <2°C above pre-industrial levels.
