Illinois Tool Works reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 505 Kt (-1.9 /-0.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity declined to 32 t (-3.4 /-9.7% y-o-y).
No public disclosure of Scope 3 emissions has been found for Illinois Tool Works at the moment.
The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 50% by 2030 from a base year 2021, which translates into the estimated reduction of -31 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2030. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
