Howmet Aerospace reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 800 Kt (+40/+5.3% y-o-y). At the sime time, carbon intensity plunged to 141 t (-12 /-7.6% y-o-y).

Howmet Aerospace's Scope 3 emissions grew to 2,060 Kt (+120/+6.2% y-o-y). The growth rate declined vs. the previous periods (CAGR +15% since 4Q'20).

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 21.5% by 2024 from a base year 2019, which translates into the estimated reduction of -10 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2024. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
