AutoZone aims to achieve net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2050

AutoZone reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 September 2022 at 453 Kt (+17/+3.9% y-o-y). At the sime time, carbon intensity decreased to 28 t (-1.9 /-6.4% y-o-y).
No public disclosure of Scope 3 emissions has been found for AutoZone at the moment.
The company is committed to achieving net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2050, which translates into the estimated reduction of -16 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2050. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
