AmerisourceBergen reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 September 2020 at 108 Kt (-13 /-10.5% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plummeted to 0.6 t (-0.1 /-14.3% y-o-y).

AmerisourceBergen's Scope 3 emissions was down at 26 Kt (-2.6 /-9.1% y-o-y).

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

AmerisourceBergen also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Cencora commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 54.6% by FY2032 from a FY2019 base year. Cencora also commits that 82% of its suppliers by spend, covering purchased goods and services, will have science-based targets by FY2027.
