Volvo Cars reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 122 Kt (-63 /-34.1% y-o-y). At the same time, carbon intensity .

Volvo Cars's Scope 3 emissions was down at 31,498 Kt (-1,911 /-5.7% y-o-y). This is broadly in line with the declining trend (CAGR -5.8%) since 4Q'19.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 60% by 2030 from a base year 2019, which translates into the estimated reduction of -3.4 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030. This target has beeen submitted to SBTi.
