Tesco reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 March 2021 at 1,067 Kt (-1,102 /-50.8% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity tumbled to 15 t (-14 /-48.1% y-o-y).

Tesco's Scope 3 emissions plummeted to 471 Kt (-349 /-42.5% y-o-y). The decline accelerated compared to the CAGR of -13.6% since 1Q'16.

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Tesco also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Overall Net-Zero Target Tesco PLC commits to reach net-zero GHG emissions across the value chain by FY2050.
