Storebrand's carbon footprint

Storebrand reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 0.13 Kt (-0.03 /-20.6% y-o-y). At the same time, carbon intensity grew to 0 t (0 y-o-y).

Storebrand's Scope 3 emissions was up at 3,325 Kt (+55/+1.7% y-o-y). There has been no clear trend lately.

The company is committed to achieving net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2050, which translates into the estimated reduction of -0.004521 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2050. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.

Storebrand also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Headline target: Storebrand's portfolio targets cover 81% of its total investment and lending activities by invested assets as of 2021.
