State Street reported gross GHG emissions (Scope 1 + 2 before carbon offsets) for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 64 Kt (+0.27/+0.4% y-o-y). Carbon intensity also remained unchnaged at 5.3 t.

State Street's Scope 3 emissions grew to 32 Kt (+21/+187% y-o-y). The performance has been erratic recently.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 27.5% by 2030 from a base year 2019, which it appears to have already achieved as of 2022. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
