Sage Group plc reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 September 2021 at 4.2 Kt (-5 /-54.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity tumbled to 1.8 t (-2.1 /-53.8% y-o-y).

Sage Group plc's Scope 3 emissions increased to 121 Kt (+15/+14% y-o-y). The growth rate declined vs. the previous periods (CAGR +86% since 3Q'17).

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Sage Group plc also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. The Sage Group PLC commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. Sage Group also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 50% within the same timeframe. Sage Group further commits to reduce optional absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from home working, hotel stays and use of sold products 50% within the same timeframe.
