Roche Holding AG reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 364 Kt (-58 /-13.8% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity was down at 5.2 t (-0.7 /-11.9% y-o-y).

Roche Holding AG's Scope 3 emissions decreased sharply to 4,551 Kt (-3,348 /-42.4% y-o-y). There has been no consistent trend in recent years.

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 40% by 2025 from a base year 2020, which translates into the estimated reduction of -32 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2025. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
