Owens Corning reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2020 at 3,338 Kt (-348 /-9.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plummeted to 473 t (-42 /-8.1% y-o-y).

Owens Corning's Scope 3 emissions plunged to 3,437 Kt (-348 /-9.2% y-o-y). This is a higher rate of decline than over the period since 4Q'17 (-3.4% CAGR).

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Owens Corning also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Owens Corning commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2018 base year. Owens Corning also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 30% within the same timeframe.
