Omnicom Group reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2020 at 45 Kt (-45 /-50.3% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity declined to 3.4 t (-2.6 /-43.3% y-o-y).

Omnicom Group's Scope 3 emissions tumbled to 29 Kt (-81 /-73.8% y-o-y). The decline accelerated compared to the CAGR of -30.4% since 4Q'16.

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Omnicom Group also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Omnicom Group commits to reduce absolute scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions 46.2% by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
