Mowi

Mowi reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 264 Kt (-59 /-18.3% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plunged to 53 t (-20 /-27.8% y-o-y).

Mowi's Scope 3 emissions skyrocketed to 1,826 Kt (+109/+6.3% y-o-y). There has been no clear trend lately.

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Mowi also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Norwegian seafood company Mowi ASA commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 35% by 2030 and 72% by 2050 from a 2016 base year. Mowi ASA also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 35% by 2030 and 72% by 2050 from a 2018 base year.
