Medtronic's carbon footprint

Medtronic reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 March 2021 at 271 Kt (-9.5 /-3.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity declined to 9 t (-0.7 /-7.2% y-o-y).

No public disclosure of Scope 3 emissions has been found for Medtronic at the moment.

The company is committed to achieving net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2030, which translates into the estimated reduction of -30 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
