Holcim reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 83,000 Kt (-43,000 /-34.1% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plummeted to 2,713 t (-1,566 /-36.6% y-o-y).

Holcim's Scope 3 emissions took off to 47,000 Kt (+17,000/+57% y-o-y). This is a higher growth rate than over the period since 4Q'19 (+25% CAGR).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for all Scopes by 2050, which translates into the estimated reduction of -4,643 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2050. This science-based target is aligned with Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
