Henkel's carbon footprint

Henkel reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 475 Kt (-61 /-11.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity dropped to 20 t (-3.9 /-16.4% y-o-y).

Henkel's Scope 3 emissions decreased to 44,053 Kt (-1,119 /-2.5% y-o-y). This is broadly in line with the declining trend (CAGR -2.6%) since 4Q'17.

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Henkel also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms.
