Genus plc reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 June 2021 at 82 Kt (-5.6 /-6.4% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity plunged to 114 t (-11 /-8.8% y-o-y).

Genus plc's Scope 3 emissions declined to 15 Kt (-1.5 /-9% y-o-y). The rate of decline has slowed compared to the trend since 2Q'19 (CAGR -12%).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for all Scopes by 2050, which translates into the estimated reduction of -3.3 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2050. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
