Epiroc AB reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 42 Kt (+10/+31% y-o-y). Carbon intensity also jumped to 9.1 t (+1.3/+17% y-o-y).

Epiroc AB's Scope 3 emissions tumbled to 83 Kt (-22 /-21% y-o-y). This is a higher rate of decline than over the period since 4Q'18 (-13.4% CAGR).

The company is committed to reducing Scope 1 + 2 by 50% by 2030 from a base year 2019, which translates into the estimated reduction of -2.8 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030. This science-based target is aligned with Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
