Enel Group reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 59,130 Kt (+1,450/+2.5% y-o-y). At the sime time, carbon intensity declined to 392 t (-160 /-29% y-o-y).

Enel Group's Scope 3 emissions increased to 75,800 Kt (+6,650/+10% y-o-y). The growth rate declined vs. the previous periods (CAGR +40% since 4Q'16).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for all Scopes by 2040, which translates into the estimated reduction of -7,496 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2040. This science-based target is aligned with Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
