Edison International reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2022 at 2,400 Kt (+600/+33% y-o-y). Carbon intensity also increased to 139 t (+19/+15% y-o-y).

Edison International's Scope 3 emissions decreased to 11,200 Kt (-300 /-2.6% y-o-y). The rate of decline has slowed vs. the previous periods (CAGR -8.3% since 4Q'16).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for all Scopes by 2045, which translates into the estimated reduction of -591 Kt per annum over the period of FY2023 - FY2045. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
