CF Industries Holdings reported Total CO2e Emissions - Location-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 17,332 Kt (-1,657 /-8.7% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity tumbled to 2,651 t (-1,954 /-42.4% y-o-y).

CF Industries Holdings's Scope 3 emissions was down at 53,370 Kt (-5,860 /-9.9% y-o-y).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2050, which translates into the estimated reduction of -598 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2050. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
