Boeing reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 31 December 2021 at 1,058 Kt (-127 /-10.7% y-o-y). Also positively, carbon intensity fell to 17 t (-3.4 /-16.7% y-o-y).

Boeing's Scope 3 emissions skyrocketed to 300,000 Kt (+141,908/+90% y-o-y). The growth has slowed compared to the trend since 4Q'19 (CAGR +911%).

The company is committed to achieving net zero for Scope 1 + 2 by 2030, which translates into the estimated reduction of -118 Kt per annum over the period of FY2022 - FY2030. This target, however, has not been recognised as science-based (and as aligned with Paris Agreement) by the SBTi.
