Apple reported Total CO2e Emissions - Market-Based Scope 1 + Scope 2 for the twelve months ending 30 September 2020 at 47 Kt (-5.3 /-10.1% y-o-y). At the same time, carbon intensity remained unchnaged at 0.2 t.

Apple's Scope 3 emissions fell to 22,550 Kt (-2,430 /-9.7% y-o-y). The decline accelerated compared to the CAGR of -5.2% since 3Q'16.

The company has not set a company-wide target for an absolute reduction in GHG emissions yet.

Apple also has a science-based goal that, however, does not appear to explicitly target a company-wide reduction in emissions in absolute terms. Apple, Inc. commits to reduce absolute combined scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions 62% by FY2030 from a FY2019 base year. Apple also commits to continue annually sourcing 100% renewable electricity through FY2030.* *The target boundary includes biogenic emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.
